The ready-to-use premix AquaPolish® PVA provides a protective and immediate release film on tablets, pellets, granules and capsules. The homogeneous powder premix, consisting of a sophisticated combination of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), stearic acid, talc, glycerin, polysorbate 80, and, if necessary, titanium dioxide (for white film coatings), forms a highly effective moisture barrier that protects solid oral dosage forms and ensures the stability and integrity of your active ingredients.
The excellent moisture barrier results from the combination of a fat (stearic acid) and PVA, which was developed by BIOGRUND and is currently the only one to offer this combination.
Beyond its protective qualities, AquaPolish® PVA is defined by its exceptional flexibility. The film coating formulation results in a highly elastic film and its elasticity ensures that the coating remains intact without cracking, even when applied to cores that may undergo slight physical changes, providing a smooth and professional finish every time.
